The European Commission is deeply concerned by the assassination of the chief editor of the Sri Lankan Sunday Leader newspaper, Lasantha Wickrematunga, who was shot this morning near Colombo and who has subsequently passed away. The Commission extends its profound sympathy to the family of Mr Wickrematunga. |
