Rice in ‘pre-Nato’ pact with Georgia

Article reports that the United States and Georgia signed a strategic partnership charter on the 9 January 2009 intended to act as a catalyst for Georgia to gain future entry to Nato. The Charter calls for cooperation in the areas of defence, economic freedom, culture and democratic reform.
