Press Release: EFSA issues statement on 4-methylbenzophenone in some breakfast cereals

Following a request for advice from the European Commission, the European Food Safety Authority (EFSA), on 4 March 2009, published a statement on the risks arising from the migration of the substance 4-methylbenzophenone from packaging into certain breakfast cereals. This substance is a chemical compound used to help set printing inks.
