Press Release: Fostering R&D or removing legislative barriers in the Single Market: the EESC calls for hands-on support for EU competitiveness

The European Economic and Social Committee (EESC) also calls for a redefinition of competitiveness that includes the sustainability factors of the social, economic and environmental perspectives, while stressing the fact that the Single Market has been instrumental in removing a tremendous number of legal barriers to the benefit of EU competitiveness on the global scene.
