Press Release: European Union deploys Election Observation Mission to Mozambique

The European Commission deployed an EU Election Observation Mission (EOM) for the next Presidential, National and Provincial Assemblies elections in the Republic of Mozambique scheduled to take place on 28 October 2010. The EU EOM will be led by Ms Fiona Hall, Member of the European Parliament and consists of seven experts, seventy-two short term observer, 24lLong term observers and several locally recruited short term observers from diplomatic missions. This EU EOM represents a further contribution by the European Commission to supporting democracy in the Republic of Mozambique.
