Press Release: Fight against tax fraud: Commission publishes a study on the VAT gap in the EU

In the framework of its strategy to combat tax evasion and fraud, on 30 October 2009 the European Commission published a study carried out by an external contractor on the gap between the amount of VAT due and the amount received in 25 Member States, and the evolution of these figures, over a period of 7 years.
