France backs delayed ban on bluefin tuna trade

Article reports that France said on the 3 February 2010 it would back a ban on the international trade in bluefin tuna but only if implementation was delayed by 18 months. In a few weeks time EU countries would decide whether to back calls for the over-exploited fish to be officially listed as an endangered species.
