The European Commission cleared on 22 February 2010, under the EU Merger Regulation, the proposed acquisition of General Electric's ("GE") security business by US-based United Technologies Corporation ("UTC"). The Commission concluded that the operation would not significantly impede effective competition in the European Economic Area (EEA) or in any substantial part of it. |
