Commission opens tax probe on Spanish football clubs

Football giants Barcelona and Real Madrid are among seven top clubs in Spain to be targeted by a state aid probe launched by the European Commission.

An interview with competition commissioner Margrethe Vestager in June 2015 revealed that a decision regarding this case was set to be unveiled by the end of the summer.
