Van Rompuy gets handshake in Washington

At the nuclear security summit in Washington DC on 12-13 April 2010, US President Barack Obama did not grant Herman Van Rompuy a one-on-one interview, which confirms the European Council President’s lack of international recognition. But we need to remain indulgent for the time being, advises De Standaard.
