Europe airlines struggle for take-off as rivals gain speed

Airlines have recovered from the 2009 downturn much faster than expected everywhere in the world apart from Europe, according to the International Air Transport Association, the industry's trade body, in a stark assessment of the global economy's diverging fortunes, June 2010.
