Latvian voters back government’s austerity

Features report on the results of the general election in Latvia, 2 October 2010.

Latvians were said to have given their backing to more tough austerity measures, re-electing the country’s centre-right government in the first vote since the Baltic state received a €7.5bn bail-out from the International Monetary Fund.
