‘Third pole’ to challenge Berlusconi

Having narrowly failed in their efforts to unseat Silvio Berlusconi’s coalition government in parliament on the 14 December 2010, several opposition leaders launched their first formal effort to create a centrist alliance, dubbed 'the third pole' by Italy’s media.
