Press Release: Mergers: Commission clears proposed acquisition of German chocolate manufacturer KVB by Cargill

The European Commission has cleared under the EU Merger Regulation the proposed acquisition of sole control over the assets of German chocolate manufacturer Schwartauer Werke GmbH & Co. KG Kakao Verarbeitung Berlin (KVB) by the US based company Cargill. After examining the transaction, the Commission has concluded that the transaction would not significantly impede effective competition in the European Economic Area (EEA) or any substantial part of it.
