This communication consists of the mid-term evaluation of the Framework Programme ‘Security and Safeguarding Liberties (2007-2013)’, composed of the two Programmes ‘Prevention and Fight against Crime (ISEC)’ and ‘Prevention, Preparedness and Consequence Management of Terrorism and other Security Related Risks (CIPS)’. The ISEC programme concerns prevention of and combating crime, organised or otherwise, in particular terrorism, trafficking in human beings and offences against children, illicit drug trafficking and illicit arms trafficking, corruption and fraud. The CIPS programme concerns critical infrastructure and other security issues, including operational issues in areas such as crisis management, environment, public health, transport, research and technological development. |
