World leaders gather in Paris for Libya summit

Libya's National Transition Council and world leaders met in Paris on the 1 September 2011 in the context of the Libya Contact Group to outline a roadmap to democracy, with all involved anxious to avoid the errors of Iraq. The talks focused on political and economic reconstruction.

On the 2 September 2011 Libya's interim council met foreign officials and post-conflict rebuilding experts from the International Monetary Fund, World Bank and USAID in Paris to discuss financing Libya's reconstruction.
