Communication from the Commission to the Council – Follow-up to the Council Decision 2010/320/EU addressed to Greece, with a view to reinforcing and deepening fiscal surveillance and giving notice to Greece to take measures for the deficit reduction judged necessary to remedy the situation of excessive deficit (June 2011)

This quarterly Communication assesses the measures implemented and planned by Greece to comply with Council Decision 2010/320/EU in the first quarter of 2011.

The assessment is based on a report submitted to the Council and the Commission by Greece in June 2011, and on a mission conducted by European Commission staff together with IMF and ECB staff, in the context of the economic adjustment programme which is being financed by bilateral loans by the euro-area Member States and an IMF's stand-by arrangement.
