The European Public Health Association (EUPHA), founded in 1992, is an umbrella organisation for public health associations in Europe. The 2011 EUPHA conference, held in Copenhagen on 9-12 November 2011, was themed 'Public Health and Welfare – Welfare development and health'. A workshop held by the European Centre for Disease Prevention and Control (ECDC) was aimed at presenting the results of work carried out by the ECDC on socio-economic determinants and their impact on infectious disease control and prevention. Likewise, the impact of economic crisis on infectious diseases was discussed. |
