Newborn EU treaty deal faces threat from multiple referendums

EUObserver writes that within hours of arriving at a fragile treaty deal for the eurozone and nine other EU states at the European Council, Brussels, 8-9 December 2011, the agreement delivering deeper integration is already confronting the prospective challenge of multiple referendums and a host of legal barriers.
