Surging Turkish growth raises fears

Turkey’s economy surged at an annual rate of 8.2% in the third quarter of 2011, in figures published on the 12 December 2011 that highlighted the divide between the country’s growing self-confidence and external warnings of the risk of a hard economic landing ahead.
