La Adhesión de la Unión Europea al Convenio Europeo de Derechos Humanos: un paso adelante en la protección de los Derechos Fundamentales

This dissertation deals with the European Union's accession to the European Convention on Human Rights and Fundamental Freedoms. This thesis is divided into two parts; the first one is about membership and the situation of Fundamental Rights after the Lisbon Treaty, where the Court of Luxembourg developed a praetorian protection of these rights in the absence of a positive text at the level of EU. The second part deals with the membership itself, the legal and technical implications it has, the options so far have been considered and those that possibly end up materializing in the future accession agreement.
