A humanitarian common policy through deliberation? On the characteristics of EU Foreign Policy

The aim of this dissertation is to contribute to a better understanding of what characterises EU foreign policy. In particular, I am concerned with what, if any, role norms play in the member states’ collective foreign policies.
The dissertation is composed of three main parts. The first part contains an introductory chapter where the framework of the articles, the research questions, the main hypotheses and analytical framework are presented more closely.
