Success of European films in major non-European markets Geographical scope: Ten markets were analysed - US/Canada, Australia, Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, South Korea, Mexico, New Zealand and Venezuela. Key Points: - Only 103 European films had a theatrical commercial release outside of Europe in 2010. - The main non-European foreign markets represent about 18% of the world admissions for European films. - Outside of Europe, European films accounted in 2010 for around 3% of the total admissions, while their market share in Europe was 26%. |
