The 72nd session of the Marine Environment Protection Committee (MEPC) of the International Maritime Organisation (IMO) was held on 9-13 April 2018.

At the meeting, an agreement was reached on an initial strategy to reduce greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions from international shipping.
