Swedish minister wants tougher EU limits on chemicals

Sweden’s environment minister threatened to introduce national bans on endocrine-disrupting chemicals if the European Union did not act, citing growing evidence of their health-damaging effects.

The minister, Lena Ek, said climate change and endocrine-disrupting chemicals were the two most important issues on her agenda.
