Press Release: Budgets Committee approves EU’s 2014-2020 budget and 2014 budget deal

Parliament’s Budgets Committee approved on the 14 November 2013 the EU’s long-term budget (Multi-annual Financial Framework - MFF) for 2014-2020, opening the way for a vote in plenary during the following week so it could enter into force on the 1 January 2014.

The Committee has also approved the deal struck earlier in the week after negotiations on the budget for 2014, the first year under the new MFF.
