EU bank transparency rules delayed

At the ECOFIN Council, Brussels, 15 November 2013 Member State finance minutes discussed the draft directive (COM 2008)727) aimed at strengthening Directive 2003/48/EC on the rules on the taxation of savings income.

EUObserver reported that the Council failed to reach a political agreement with Luxembourg and Austria continuing to have objections.
