This Research Note gives an overview of Wales’ results in the 2012 cycle of the Programme for International Student Assessment (PISA), which were published on 3 December 2013. PISA is a survey of the educational achievements of 15 year olds in 65 countries around the world. It is organised by the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) and takes place every three years. Note, in a separate development, the OECD was due to report to the Welsh Government in April 2014, following its review of education in Wales requested by the Welsh Government in 2013. |
