EU banking watchdog warns of risks from Bitcoin

The European Banking Authority said on the 13 December 2013 that there was no protection or compensation for people whose "digital wallets" were hacked, a transfer of virtual money went wrong or a platform was shut, in a formal warning to consumers on the risks of using unregulated online currencies, like bitcoins.
