Summary:

The European Commission published on 4 April 2007 a Report assessing the results and the application of the air passenger rights established by Regulation (EC) No 261/2004.

Further information:

The document highlights that, while some progress had been made since the full implementation of the Regulation in 2005, further important steps should be taken to ensure that airlines apply the rules more consistently and that these rules are better enforced by Member States.

The adoption of this Report is pursuant to Article 17 of this Regulation.
