Press Release: Mergers: Commission clears reacquisition of Acciai Speciali Terni and VDM by ThyssenKrupp, concluding the remedy implementation process following the Outokumpu/Inoxum merger

On 12 February 2014, Tthe European Commission concluded that the proposed reacquisition of Acciai Speciali Terni (AST) and Outokumpu VDM (VDM) by ThyssenKrupp AG (TK) was in line with the EU merger regulation. The reacquisition did not raise any competition concerns, since the merged entity would continue to face a number of credible competitors.
