Summary: The European Commission announced on 16 July 2014 the start of a public consultation regarding the EU Strategy for the Alpine Region (EUSALP), which the EC intended to put forward the following year. This is the result of a request formally agreed by the European Council in December 2013 for the EC to bring forward such a strategy, building on previous examples in other parts of Europe. |
