Memo: Commission staff carry out fifth Post-Programme Surveillance mission to Latvia

Following the successful conclusion on 20 January 2012 of the three-year financial support by the EU, the fifth Post-Programme Surveillance (PPS) mission to Latvia was carried out by staff of the European Commission from 7 to 10 April, together with the European Central Bank. PPS missions are scheduled to take place twice a year until 75% of the EU loan provided to Latvia would be repaid (expected in early 2015). Latvia made a EUR 1 billion repayment on 25 March 2014.
