	On 14 April 2014, the 'EU Atlas of ICT hotspots' was released. It shows where digital technologies thrive and examines the factors contributing to this success. The European Commission Vice-President Neelie Kroes said that this is the proof that digital success comes through a willingness to invest, an open mindset for innovation and planning. Also that Europe needs to build on those values to be a global leader in technology.
