Wales must develop a new ‘farming-plus’ model to ensure a sustainable post-Brexit agricultural policy.

The author was Professor of Environmental Policy and Planning and Director of the Sustainable Places Research Institute, Cardiff University.

Note that on the 10 July 2018 Cabinet Secretary for Energy, Planning and Rural Affairs in the Welsh Government, Lesley Griffiths, launched a consultation a new Land Management Programme to support Welsh farmers post-Brexit, replacing the Common Agricultural Policy (CAP).
