Press release: Ukraine: €500 million EU Macro-Financial Assistance loan disbursed

The European Commission, on behalf of the EU, disbursed on the 3 December 2014 €500 million to Ukraine. This was the second and final loan tranche of the EU's €1 billion Macro-Financial Assistance (MFA II) programme for Ukraine approved earlier this year.

This disbursement added to the €860 million provided so far under the two ongoing MFA programmes for Ukraine. Following this disbursement, €250 million remained available under the earlier MFA programme (MFA I).
