Bundestag approves 2015 budget with no new debt

On 28 November 2014, the lower-house of the German parliament approved the country's budget for 2015.

This was considered to be an historic budget, since it was the first time since 1969 the Bundestag approved a balanced budget for Germany. The opposition criticised the move by accusing the government of considering the 'black zero' to be more important than investment.
