Annual report published by the European Commission on 28 October 2014, which assesses work conducted on climate action and progress achieved in achieved the established targets on greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions.

Further information:

According to the report, greenhouse gas emissions from the European Union reached their lowest levels since 1990. No only was the European Union on track to reach the target established for 2020, it was also on track to overachieve it. This progress report also provides data for the first time on the use of fiscal revenues from auctioning allowances in the EU Emission Trading System (ETS).

This annual report is required under Regulation (EU) No 525/2013.
