EU asylum system is ‘dysfunctional’

The UN's High Commissioner for Refugees António Guterres considered the European Asylum System to be 'dysfucntional', during a conference in Stockholm (Sweden) on 3 February 2015.

The criticism came a day after the EU's border agency Frontex announced it had detected 2.5 times more irregular border-crossings in 2014 than in the year before.
