The European Parliament's budgets committee considered on 23 June 2015 that over 500 workers made redundant by electrical manufacturer Broadcom Communications Finland and two suppliers should get EU aid worth €1.36 million to help them find new jobs. This recommendation still needed formal approval from the chamber in a plenary vote in July and from the Council of the European Union, at a meeting to be held on the same month. |
