Environment Council, 18 September 2015

A meeting of the Environment Council took place on 18 September 2015. The agenda included the following topics:

+ Establishment of the EU's position for the UN climate change conference in Paris, setting out the vision for the climate agreement set to be adopted at the conference;

+ Adoption of a decision to create a market stability reserve (MSR) for the EU greenhouse gas emission trading scheme (EU ETS), aiming to tackle structural supply-demand imbalances in that system.
