This fact sheet released on 22 September 2015 explained that the goal of the 'EU Budget Focused on Results' initiative was the effective use of EU resources – EU taxpayers' money – so that they were put to good use for the benefit of citizens.

The EU Budget Focused on Results was also about showing people the concrete benefits of the EU budget.
