Press Release: Refugee crisis: present and future EU military operations in the Mediterranean

The European Parliament's security and defence subcommittee held a meeting on 22 September 2015 to discuss the details of the second phase of the European Union's military operation against people smugglers in the Mediterranean. After gathering intelligence and setting up yhe structure, the operation was ready to focus on arresting traffickers and disabling vessels.
