Spain tests new refugee reception plan

Sources from Spain's government announced on 26 October 2015 it was launching a test programme for the reception of immigrants, focused on a group of 50 refugees mainly from Eritrea.

Spain had expressed its 'doubts' on the strategy proposed by the European Commission for a common asylum and immigration policy. During the EU mini-summit on the refugee crisis held on 25 October in Brussels, prime minisrer Mariano Rajoy said the country preferred to delay a permanent plan to relocate refugees.
