Press Release: Mergers: Commission opens in-depth investigation into ASL’s acquisition of Arianespace

On 26 February 2016, the European Commission opened an in-depth investigation to assess the proposed acquisition of Arianespace by Airbus Safran Launchers (ASL) under the EU Merger Regulation. According to the Commission, the proposed transaction might result in less innovation and higher prices in the satellite and launch service markets.
