Environment Council, 20 June 2016

A meeting of the Environment Council was held on 20 June 2016, in Luxembourg. The agenda included the following items:

+ Adoption of a statement on the ratification of the Paris Agreement;

+ Adoption of the Action Plan against wildlife trafficking;

+ Policy debate on the revision of the emission trading system (ETS);

+ State of play of the proposed directive on the reduction of national emissions of certain atmospheric pollutants, the so-called NEC directive;

+ Adoption of conclusions on the EU action plan for the circular economy;

+ Information on emissions by diesel car and endocrine disruptors;

+ Presentation by the Slovak delegation of its working programme as incoming presidency of the Council of the European Union.
