Lithuanian parliamentary election, 2016

The Peasants Party and the Greens were the surprise winners of the parliamentary election in Lithuania. Together, they formed a coalition with the social democrats, which was announced on 9 November.

The main aims of the government were set to be reducing inequality and stopping the waves of nationals leaving the country for a better life elsewhere.
