EU-Kyrgyzstan relations

On 4 October 2016 the European Union External Action released a fact sheet reminding that the three fundamental pillars on which the cooperation between the EU and Kyrgyzstan lie are political dialogue, economic relations and cooperation in a variety of sectors. This cooperation dates back to 1999 when the Partnership and Cooperation Agreement (PCA) came into force.

Moreover, at a regional level the Kyrgyz Republic was one of the European Union's partners within the European Union and Central Asia: Strategy for a New Partnership at that moment.
