The First Minister of Scotland confirmed on the 8 November 2016 that the Lord Advocate would lodge a formal application to intervene in the UK Government’s appeal to the Supreme Court on the triggering of Article 50. The appeal began in the Supreme Court on the 5-8 December 2016, with a judgement expected in early January 2017. Note also that the Welsh Government also instructed its Counsel General to intervene in the Article 50 appeal |
