India sees the EU’s new emphasis on balancing interests and values as long overdue and welcomes Europe’s aspiration for greater strategic autonomy in the world.

With this article Strategic Europe launched a new phase of its Capitals Series, this time exploring how EU foreign policy is viewed by major non-European countries. Contributors give a frank assessment of their country’s relations with the EU and rank five key issues in order of their importance in those relations.
